Dear Friends -
Living less than 50 miles from the recent north bay fires, we could see the smoke and feel it in our lungs. But we felt helpless. What could we do? How could we help? The devastation, loss of life and displacement was beyond belief. But, love is thicker than smoke and my dear friend Danielle and I brainstormed and because of her huge heart, the North Bay Bike Project was born! Founded by two moms, motivated by our love for community and family - we hope that little by little, bike by bike, we can contribute to the healing.
The goal of the North Bay Bike Project is to connect kids who have lost their homes with bikes.
Thank you for supporting us and more importantly for being kind, supporting kids and building community.
JOIN US! Volunteer for 12/16/17 bike build.

Why Cycling Feels So Damn Good Science confirms what many of us know: Your bike is your happy place. When you ride, you get a spike in neurochemicals such as serotonin and dopamine that relieve pain and improve mood, says Kim Chronister, PsyD, a psychologist in Los Angeles. You also get a hit of endorphins, which triggers the same receptors in your brain as some pain medicines
